Atlantique Offshore Energy designed, manufactured and installed the Electrical Offshore Substation required by Otary to operate Rentel Offshore Wind Farm in the Belgian North Sea. We won in 2016 a full EPCI contract for this Substation delivered 10th Janurary 2018.
This turnkey project confirmed Atlantique Offshore Energy competitiveness in the Offshore Wind Industry. In charge of the complete Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Transport & Installation and Commissioning of the Electrical Substation, Atlantique Offshore Energy enlarged its skills and scope of competencies.
The foundation of the Substation has been installed in September 2017. The 78m height Monopile supports a Transition Piece linking the Topside with a J-Tube Cage, where the electrical cables, which connect the Wind Turbines with the Subsation and the Substation with the Onshore Grid, go through.
The manufacturing of the Topside structure has been done mainly within Anemos, our workshop dedicated to Marine Energies. Atlantique Offshore Energy teams then performed the Outfitting of the Substation until its Offshore Installation and Commissioning.
