Today, RWE and Atlantique Offshore Energy celebrated the first steel cutting of the Nordseecuster NC02 offshore substation for RWE’s Nordseecluster wind farm NC2 (435 MW).

 

This milestone takes place ten months after RWE announced the order to Atlantique Offhore Energy of two substations for the NordseecCluster A wind farms, located in the gGerman North Sea. These substations will collect the electricity of the wind turbines and dispatch it through high voltage power lines.

 

The installation and full commissioning of this substations is planned for 2026.
