The MSC Meraviglia class ships are the largest cruise ships ever built for a European owner. With their optimized design, passengers are able to enjoy a wide range of entertainment while the ship maneuverability, flexibility and environmental friendly features are enhanced.
Among the entertainment offered on board, one of the most noticeable is the exclusive aft lounge operated by Cirque du Soleil. Moreover the accommodation offer will be enriched by a new type of cabins that can merge to form small apartments dedicated to families. As for the catering offer, passengers will be able to choose among different types of world cuisines. The exclusive MSC Yacht Club concept is also present on board with a wide solarium, a private lounge and restaurant completed by duplex suites located on the ship forefront.
This new prototype benefits from all the Ecorizon© program advances implemented by Chantiers de l’Alantique since 2007: as her sister ships, this class of ships have no harmful discharge at sea and she is energetically efficient thanks to her optimized propulsion system and hull. Moreover, with the addition of scrubbers, SOx emissions are reduced as per the requirements of MARPOL’s latest regulations. Her heat recovery system patented by Chantiers de l’Atlantique also allows saving hundreds of tons of fuel per year. Thanks to this system, CO2 emission is reduced also as the heat produced by the diesel alternators is recovered to heat some equipment on board such as sanitary waters, swimming pools, HVAC systems …)
