Harmony of the Seas, Symphony of the Seas, Wonder of the Seas and A35

Chantiers de l’Atlantique has been granted by Royal Caribbean International (a subsidiary of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd) a contract to build the Harmony Class ships. After Harmony of the Seas and Symphony of the Seas delivered respectively in 2016 and 2018 the third ship which will be named Wonder of the Seas is due for delivery in 2021. The fleet will also welcome another unit in 2023.

At 362 meters long and 66 meters wide, this series of ships is the biggest ever built in Saint-Nazaire and the biggest ever. All of them are architectural marvels at sea, with their split superstructure and the cruise line’s neighborhood concept of seven districts themed areas. They introduces also extraordinary « firsts » at sea such as an 82 foot-long zip line, a handcrafted carousel, 12,000 live trees and plants.

The class offers also amenities that can only be found on Royal Carribbean, such as twin surf simulators, cantilevered whirlpools, an ice skating rink, the H2O Zone, kids aquapark, and the Royal Promenade, an interior boulevard that stretches nearly the length of the ship and is flanked by restaurants, lounges and boutiques, among many others. This class spans 16 decks, encompasses 227,000 gross registered tons, carrying nearly 7,000 guests at double occupancy and features more than 2,800 staterooms.
